An idea was born in February, 2014. It started with a conversation in a park in Lajpat Nagar between Ms. Asa Rognas and Ms. Buangi Marshall. They sat and talked about how these Under Privileged Children and their families need to be and can be helped. They had very clear visions and approaches of the kind of support that can be offered. Both were quite concerned about the crisis and hardships these children and their families are going through. They got into high gear and just one day later, the work of a benevolence home started and Hand2Hand Home of Grace (“Välviljans Hem”) was born. “Välviljans Hem” in Swedish means Home of Grace.
The Hand2Hand Home of Grace day care centre in New Delhi was inaugurated in March 2014. It was a home for these children who get three meals a day and the opportunity to a basic education, play, rest and loving care. The venue is Nebsarai. Many parents are daily wage labourers looking new jobs every day and most of the mothers are domestic helps.
